Temporary Works Designer

A contract Temporary Works Designer is required to join a team in the north of Manchester. Together, the team is responsible for designs of temporary works for high profile projects throughout the UK and Middle East.

Duties will include the design of temporary works in accordance with codes of specifications under strict time scales - Liaison and negotiation with site personnel, design teams and specialist subcontractors - Determining temporary works requirements from drawings, documentation and ground investigation - Producing design drawings and method statements for the installation of temporary works schemes on site - Ensuring that designs are prepared in line with current H&S applicable legislation standards - Compliance with CDM requirements - Providing risk assessments associated with the design - Attending engineering related meetings.

Ideally you will have the following skills:-

Previous temporary works design experience in formwork, falsework, scaffolding, foundations and ground support, though a general structural engineering background will be considered.

Relevant industry qualification (HND/BEng).

Competence in AutoCAD.

Rate negotiable.
